Vince August -- A Split Personality Performer: Lawyer by Day, Funny Man by Night
Depending on where you are sitting, Vincent A. Sicari will bring a smile to your face or he will make you wish you never left home. During the day, Vince is a successful practicing attorney with his own law practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey, but at night, Vince sheds his suit and tie for a t-shirt and jeans to become the comic and screenwriter known as "Vince August."
New York, NY, July 11, 2007 - Depending on where you are sitting, Vincent A. Sicari will bring a smile to your face or he will make you wish you never left home. Although such a reputation is far from ideal for someone looking to break into the entertainment industry, for Vince, it is the highest compliment that can be paid. That is because Vincent A. Sicari, Esq. and Vince August are two personalities that occupy the same body. During the day, Vince is a successful practicing attorney with his own law practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey, but at night, Vince becomes the comic and screenwriter known as "Vince August." With the prospect of a television sitcom pilot and other opportunities resulting from headline stand-up performances, Vince is now faced with the decision of whether to abandon his profession as a lawyer to pursue his dream of being an entertainer.
While Vince's Italian immigrant parents would much rather see him hold a briefcase instead of a microphone, Vince's hard work on stage over the past ten (10) years is finally paying off. Vince is now producing feature comedy shows and headlining at some of New York City's hottest comedy clubs, including Carolines on Broadway and the Laugh Factory. As a member of the Screen Actors Guild ("S.A.G"), Vince was recently featured in Jamie Kennedy's Heckler, a film that debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Vince is also a member of The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists ("A.F.T.R.A.") and has appeared in multiple nationally run television commercials. Vince has recently secured professional management and he now developing a sitcom based upon his comedy with Dan Fauci, Paramount's former Senior Vice President of Television Comedy Development.
The buzz surrounding Vince's success has even raised eyebrows in Vince's community, leading to a feature article in the New Jersey Bergen Record by Evelyn Shih entitled Ridgewood Resident a Superman of Sorts (June 12, 2007).
Vince's next big headline show will be at Carolines on Broadway on August 22, 2007.
As Vince's entertainment career is on the verge of exploding, he finds himself faced with the difficult question of whether his fate will be determined by Vincent A Sicari, Esq. or Vince August, the entertainer.
About Vincent A. Sicari
Vincent A. Sicari was born on August 28, 1969 in Hackensack, New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor's degree at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York, followed by a Juris Doctor from The New York Law School in Manhattan. After passing the New York and New Jersey Bar exams, Vince worked as a prosecutor, a criminal defense attorney and he now heads a general practice law firm in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
