ABOUT AUTHOR

Phil Beaudet was born in 1948 and reared in Santa Clara, California, where he grew up with his father, two brothers, and two sisters. It wasn't long before Phil began exhibiting the eccentricities that make him the unique individual he is today.
   
After high school, Phil served in the Navy, where he was trained as a corpsman (medic). He continued in the medical profession many years after his release.
   
Eventually, Phil made his great escape from Silicon Valley, leaving Gates, Jobs, and Wozniak to earn their riches, and de Varona and Spitz to earn their fame. Phil never looked back. He relocated to the Santa Cruz mountains, where he lived among the redwoods and began his lifelong love of horses. There, too, is where he became fast friends with his riding partners in Wilderness Adventures on Horseback, Ron and Pat.
   
Years later, Phil moved north to escape the overcrowded redwoods. He made beautiful Fall River Mills his new home, where he continued his horseback adventures with his new saddle pal, Mary. Endurance riding became his new passion, as well as a cute, little, local girl, Heidi, who eventually became Phil's wife. Phil and Heidi now call Burney, California, home, where they live happily with their dogs, cats, parrots, and horses.
