HR XCEL Names Janet LeClair as President

Former Wachovia HR Leader Replaces Founder, Who Steps Down as President of Charlotte-Based HRO Firm

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 25, 2007 -- Barbara Sheridan co-founded HR XCEL, a Charlotte-based provider of Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) services, in 1998. After nine years of leading the company she grew into a multi-million dollar business, Sheridan now steps down as President, moving into an advisory position on the Board of Directors.

HR XCEL has named Janet LeClair as its new President. LeClair brings over 25 years of financial services industry experience, highlighted by eight years as Director of Wachovia’s HR Support Center, supporting over 100,000 employees.

During her tenure, LeClair led the transformation of the HR support center to a highly automated and efficient HR service organization.

No stranger to the way the company is run, she was initially brought in by Sheridan as a consultant. After six months, Sheridan and HR XCEL co-founder Todd Wiebusch realized LeClair was the right person to lead HR XCEL through its next phase of growth.

During 20 years with Wachovia, LeClair served in leadership roles in the areas of risk management, financial controls, budgets and planning in both HR and Finance disciplines.

In addition to her professional duties, LeClair – who graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Accounting and Marketing – is also an active member of her community. She currently serves on the Mint Museum’s Board of Trustees and is former and past Chair of the Board of the Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools Education Foundation. She is also a member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church Finance Council and the Assistance League of Charlotte.
