Card Player Media and Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) join forces to bring exciting poker coverage to women poker players nationwide.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- Card Player Media (www.cardplayer.com) and Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) join forces to bring exciting poker coverage to women poker players nationwide.

The coverage includes an exclusive women's poker section, which features women's tournament reporting, schedules, profiles, and articles. The featured writers for the new section include poker notables such as Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, J.J. Liu, Lisa Wheeler, Cecelia Reyes, Pam Brunson, and Annie Duke. The articles will focus on poker from a women's perspective.

"We can't think of a more natural partnership than this one with Card Player, the brand that is synonymous with poker," stated Lupe Soto, founder and CEO of the Ladies International Poker Series. "Being able to provide women poker players these new services and opportunities is a huge progression in women's poker. This will help us expand our reach to women who play women's only events and secure a ranking for them."

Card Player Media will also introduce new programs geared toward women that include a worldwide women's player ranking system, Women Player of the Year Award, and a special ladies forum section.

"We are thrilled to be the exclusive partner of LIPS," stated Barry Shulman, Card Player Media C.E.O. "Women are quickly becoming a voice in poker and we saw the need for that voice to be heard. With our new programs, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of both Card Player Media and LIPS."
