Edges of Seven Launches New CD - Born Again Hard

Edges of Seven launches new CD 'Born Again Hard' with release party at Cheers Nightclub in Delta BC on August 23, 2007.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) August 11, 2007 -- Edges of Seven launches their new CD 'Born Again Hard' with a release party at Cheers Nightclub in Delta BC on August 23, 2007.

A stellar fusion of Industrial and modern rock/metal is the basis of the Edges of Seven sound. Think Trent Reznor arm wrestling James Hetfield, with Rob Zombie as referee.

Edges of Seven began in March of 2000 as the solo project of singer/songwriter Robert Takacs. Over the next three years, Eo7 has grown into an on-line musical presence via the official site: www.edgesofseven.com , as well as mp3.com, and the peer-to-peer service Kazaa. In 2003, Edges of Seven went from a one man endeavor to a full 5 piece powerhouse. Joining Robert were former Frontline Assembly drummer Jay Hagan, keyboardist/programmer Corey Hunt, guitarist Mark S, and bassist Ryan Smith. In September of that same year, Eo7 recorded a 3 song EP which garnered them attention via airplay on Vancouver's CFOX 99.3, which played the disc a number of times, including a spin on it's prime time segment, the Rock Report.

Bassist Ryan Smith left the band in February of 2006 due to personal issues, but came in to do the sessions in June as Eo7 began recording their debut CD: "Born Again Hard". Featuring 9 of Eo7's strongest songs, "Born Again Hard" is now available via the band's website, as well as iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic, and various other online services. On August 2nd, 2006, bassist Ryan Smith passed away at the age of 28. In addition to being his last recorded work, "Born Again Hard" is dedicated to original Eo7 bassist Ryan Smith.

Another significant bit of Eo7 news is the addition of 2 new members to the band. Guitarist Carmello Bruzzeze and bassist Steve Booth joined the band in April of this year, and immediately fit in like the proverbial missing pieces of the puzzle.
