The Bacon Collections Homes Expected to Regenerate the Soft Housing Market and Reverse the Current Housing Trend of Stagnancy

As the housing market comes to an apprehensive standstill, Bob Bacon's new and innovative custom home design process is expected to regenerate interest and confidence in real estate investments.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- In the aftermath of the United States' housing market bubble, the general population is showing great caution in making real estate investments. The housing market is soft, developments and communities show no growth, and land developers are apprehensive. Bob Bacon expects that his new, strategically packaged custom home design process will offset this problem and renew interest in the housing market. The Bacon Collections is an innovative alternative to more traditional custom home design processes. This custom home design process utilizes a unique set of objectives and principles to create a truly distinctive product.

The Bacon Collections is a luxury home design system created as an alternative to spec homes and traditional custom homes, both of which are experiencing a slump in sales during the current real estate recession. Bacon has written the development philosophies and design guidelines for many high end custom communities, as well as chairing the design review committees. Because of these experiences, Bacon understands that there are three requirements for custom development: a) designs must maximize the opportunities and minimize the shortcomings of the lot, b) no two homes can be exactly alike or closely similar if they are in close proximity of one another, and c) all homes in the community must be of similar high quality and value.

With this in mind, Bob Bacon determined that revamping the custom home process would be central to resolving three major development problems:

1)   The traditional custom home design process, with its high cost, time requirements and stress, is not appealing to a large portion of the high-end market.
2)   The customary architectural review and approval process is typically intimidating and is often ineffective in achieving consistently high design quality and real estate value.
3)   The reliance of developers on independent speculators to stimulate lot sales and home construction often produces mediocre results. This creates a poor first impression during the community's most vulnerable start-up phase.

In 2004 Bob and his team began working to overcome the greatest impediment in custom home sales: the customer's fear of the custom home process itself. As a result of his effort, Bob Bacon devised a means of dramatically reducing the cost, time and stress involved in delivering a personalized, custom-quality home. This allows the buyer to be involved in the home plans as much or as little as they wish without compromising quality, design, or attention-to-detail. With the creation of The Bacon Collections™ and IBISS™ Integrated Building Information Services System, Bacon can now deliver to developers the capability of attracting a larger market. This reduces the potential risk of relying exclusively on spec builders to initiate momentum and makes possible an entirely new approach to the marketing and sales of "custom home" communities.

As yet another means of expanding the community's design portfolio, in the fall of 2007 The Bacon Collections plans to launch a complimentary marketing program enlisting the top architects and interior designers from each region of the country into their Masters Collections™, thus involving the best local design expertise in the success of each of their communities.
