"Dan Rather" Finds Home in Florida - Thank You, Dan Rather, a One-Man Musical Revue by Composer, Neal Fox, Opens September 27, at Sixth Star Studios in Ft. Lauderdale

As a co-writer of the theme for the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, Neal Fox made a lot of money. Then out went Dan. Out went the theme. Out went the cash. With Thank You, Dan Rather, Fox pokes fun at a not so funny situation.

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) August 21, 2007 -- As a co-writer of the theme for the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, Neal Fox made a nice living. For thirteen lucky years the money rolled in. But when Rather left CBS, everything changed.

Although, not living in a cardboard box as his YouTube video suggests (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8aWVyW5_K4), Fox had to scramble to replace the lost income. He created a one-man show with the ironic title, Thank You, Dan Rather.

This unusual revue features Fox's original songs, anecdotes about life in the music business, and some surprise segments that show his willingness to do almost anything to pay the bills. Irreverent, funny, never taking himself too seriously, Fox has a great time onstage.

In his song, "Dan, You Da Man," Fox reflects:

You were da man
No one did what you can
I watched you each night
Was your number one fan
When you showed me the world
It was according to plan
I was all up to date
From Iraq to Iran
Thank you, Dan"

A former partner in Patterson Walz & Fox Music Productions, Fox churned out music for hundreds of commercials and network promos. He also composed theme music for Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, Bryant Gumbel's Public Eye, and CBS Saturday Morning. Add to that, co-scoring two Killer Tomatoes movies, a charted single and a Billboard Top Ten Dance Club hit, writing two musicals, doing the videography and animation for a one-man multimedia show, self-releasing five CDs, designing his three web sites, and--whew!--this is one busy man.

You can catch Fox's performance at the Sixth Star Studios, 505 NW 1st Avenue, in Ft. Lauderdale, from September 27 through October 14. Show times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:00, Sunday at 2:00.

Suitable for college students to baby boomers. Admission prices are $20, $15 for seniors and groups of 6 or more, $10 for students. Purchase with cash or checks at the theatre on date of the performance. It is General Seating so call 800-473-1928 for reservations.
