August 21, 2007, New York, NY-Budding actor, Ayinde Howell, stars in James Spooner's White Lies Black Sheep, debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival. Chosen from a pool of a quarter-million submissions, this coming of age story will show three times during the festivities (September 9, 11, 13.) New York, NY (PRWEB) August 24, 2007 -- Budding actor, Ayinde Howell, stars in James Spooner's White Lies Black Sheep, debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival. Chosen from a pool of a quarter-million submissions, this coming of age story will show three times during the festivities (September 9, 11, 13.) Ayinde shares his thoughts on the experience, "It was an exercise in independent film, making 36 continuous shooting days in New York during the summertime. We [the cast and crew] clicked and worked very hard as a team. As for TIFF, it's quite a privilege to be able to play… 3 times!"

The Toronto International Film Festival, now in its 31st year, is widely recognized as the most important film festival after Cannes and the most successful public film festival in the world. Produced by the Toronto International Film Festival Group, a charitable, not-for-profit, cultural organization, the festival is home to several initiatives, serving the mission of transforming the way people see the world. The group also spearheads other programs including a film reference library, year-round film screenings, and educational programs.

The second major undertaking of Afro Punk director, James Spooner, White Lies Black Sheep is the story of A.J., real name, Ajamu Talib. His dislike for his African name is the least of his problems, still, it says a lot about him. Brooklyn born and bred, yet outcast by his peers, his only escape was music. A.J. found freedom in rock n roll.

Ayinde Howell is a quadruple-threat artist, with acting, writing, music and production to his credit. He is working with Sprint to develop a viral video series. His first CD, American Hero Vol. 1 and current LP, SecretLife of PorchMonkeys, is available digitally (http://www.cdbaby.com/ayinde or itunes) under his musically rebellious alter ego, American Hero. A digital release of artist Ally-Way, produced by American Hero, is also on the horizon. For up to date information on all things Ayinde Howell see www.myspace.com/ayindehowell.
