They're Laughing at LA with New Comedy Show
New comedy show appeals to Los Angeles comedy market. Laugh at La is a new sensation for comedy followers in the Los Angeles area.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 7, 2007 -- Providence Film Group has agreed to produce Laugh at LA, a multi faceted sketch comedy show. Laugh at LA will be a live show that will feature the hottest up and coming comedians. With the comedy circuit expanding each year, the show aspires to be a conduit for the many comics who go unnoticed. A celebrity host will open the show, then introduce the new comics. The show closes with a headliner comedian and a musical performer. Additionally, Laugh at LA will also screen pre-produced sketches which will be loaded with sketch comedy stars from MadTV, Chappelle Show, and Reno 911.
Created and directed by "X" Mitchell (Fathers of the Sport, Harlem Tigerman, The Rucker), it will be produced independently for Internet streaming and DVD with network consideration. "I wanted to provide a diverse platform for talented comedians. All they need is a little exposure", Mitchell says. Taking advantage of the demand for intelligent thought provoking comedy, Mitchell intends to brand the concept and take it nationwide.
Drawing comparisons to Chappelle Show and MAD TV the show will take place at Tatou Club and Restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles and aims to create a platform for rising comedians and offer a new angle on comedy. Laugh at LA is scheduled to begin October 9th and will take place every other Tuesday.
