Stockholm, Sweden (PRWEB) September 7, 2007 -- Only months after its beta launch, trig.com -- the global community for creative talent -- has been showered with praise from social networking authorities and satisfied users alike, for its sleek design, user-friendliness and creative function set. Recently it was awarded the title "one of the most beautiful communities in the world."

The title as "one of the most beautiful communities in the world" was awarded by Stan Schroeder of Mashable.com, the leading online authority on social networking. The comparison included all major communities worldwide. Says Schroeder: "Trig is a sweet sight for the sore eyes of a web designer/hipster who spent too many days wailing about horrid MySpace profiles." Pete Cashmore of Mashable in an earlier article also noted that "(Trig) does already seem to be discovering its niche: most users seem to be young, sophisticated, creative types -- a demographic that's probably turned off by the flashing gifs and repeating backgrounds over at MySpace." He summed up his review of Trig with the simple words "Trig.com - MySpace Meets Digg, Has Beautiful Baby".

Jonas Midbrink, founder and CEO of Trig.com, comments the award: "This is obviously an important achievement; Mashable is one of the world's largest blogs and a leading, independent authority on social networking. But it does not come as a surprise to us - we are actually receiving praise for this from both new and existing users every day. I don't think it's just the visual design of the site, it is also the beauty of functionality and ease-of-use of Trig.com that is appreciated. You can create a great profile without any knowledge of programming, and the system is so flexible your profile will still feel your own. The site is also full of thought-through functions, such as our 'Trig' concept that makes it extremely easy to discover content that you like, and connect with new, likeminded people on the site."

Continues Midbrink: "The backing we are receiving from the users, everyone from high-profile bands and artists to the grassroots users that frequent the site, shows that we represent something unique in the otherwise bland world of communities. Trig is an extremely active community, because our users know that they are being listened to and cared about. Trig, like our users, dares to have attitude and be different - we are a breath of fresh air in this space. And we are only getting started: this year we are lining up Trig.com to revolutionize the world of media, from the ground up."

The award comes on top of a multitude of very positive reviews. For example, Paul Glazowski of Profy.com writes "MySpace or Facebook or any other well-established entity should buy this place up simply to get a clue about how things ought to look in 2007."

About Trig.com
With his background as a musician and producer, Trig.com founder Jonas Midbrink has a good insight into what needs bands, managers and other actors in the industry have. And so the vision of Trig was born: to create the ultimate platform for creative people, a platform where bands, designers, photographers, bloggers and other creative people could express themselves in their own way in an inspiring environment.

From day one of its launch in spring 2007, Trig.com has garnered large interest for its unique position in the social networking market and attracts approximately 250,000 unique users on a monthly basis from primarily the US. It has offices in Stockholm, Sweden, and Los Angeles, USA.
