Creative Greenery Installs Indoor Lawn for L.L. Bean Grand Opening in Albany, NY
A local landscape contractor will build a 20ft. x 20ft. grass-and-wood demonstration area in Colonie Center mall, to showcase "nature" themed activities, in Albany, September 14-16. The project marks a departure from the norm for the landscaper who usually focuses on exterior landscaping.
Schenectady, NY (PRWEB) September 11, 2007 -- Creative Greenery Landscape Maintenance Solutions will work after mall hours this week, installing a section of lawn inside Colonie Center, http://www.shopatcoloniecenter.com , upon which L.L. Bean, http://www.llbean.com , will host grand opening activities in celebration of its new, Albany store.
Discussions began in June, and the project received final approval from L.L. Bean, mall management and local building and fire authorities in August.
By incorporating sod, landscape timbers, fence posts and shrubbery, the 400 square foot construct will resemble post and rail fence surrounding a pasture, and will compliment the "nature" theme of L.L. Bean's grand opening celebration activities. Two shrubs in wooden planters, representative of species indigenous to the Northeast, will decorate the surface of the activities area. Removal of the structure will follow the grand opening.
The indoor installation, and then removal of the lawn, makes the project unique for the Schenectady based landscaper, whose usual focus is on developing 3-season exterior landscape maintenance solutions that include lawn mowing, pruning, plantings, installations and property clean-ups.
