NetBlender Launches Developer Partnership Program for DoStudio MX HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc Authoring

Called Blend/In, the partnership program allows developers to create and sell templates, scripts or other enhancements for HD DVD creation that will be supported and marketed with DoStudio MX.

Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) September 18, 2007 -- NetBlender today announced the launch of a developer partnership program for the creation of third party plug-ins for DoStudio MX, the industry-first visual authoring tool for HD DVD and Blu-ray disc. Called Blend/In, the partnership program provides developers with an SDK for creating authoring templates, scripts or other enhancements that will be supported and marketed with DoStudio MX.

"With Blend/In, NetBlender creates new revenue opportunities for creative developers while enhancing the HD authoring experience for all of our customers," said John Harrington, NetBlender CEO. "We expect the Blend/In partners to create innovative enhancements that really show off what the new formats can do."

The Blend/In program gives developers access to a fully featured partnership API that allows them to create DoStudio plug-ins in three categories: Template-based Plug-ins, such as extensible menu designs; DoScript-based plug-ins, such as innovative animation schemes and network-enabled features; and DoStudio-based plug-ins which augment the authoring environment itself.

Certified Blend/In partners receive support from NetBlender development staff and a built in distribution channel. NetBlender will market and sell the plug-ins through the DoStudio website at http://dostudio.netblender.com.

For more information about the Blend/In program developers should contact NetBlender at blendin(at)netblender.com.
