Alvin Nye Jr. Named the 2007 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service / ASE Technician of the Year

Nye Jr. had the highest composite scores of A1-A8 and L1 ASE tests among ASE Certified Master Technicians who designated they were members of TECH-NET Professional Auto Service program and took the Fall 2006 or Spring 2007 ASE automobile certification exams.
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) September 20, 2007 -- Alvin Nye Jr., owner of Al's Family Auto & Air in Ocala, Fla., has been named the 2007 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service / ASE Technician of the Year. He was selected for the award after meeting the criteria set by CARQUEST Auto Parts.

Nye Jr. had the highest composite scores of A1-A8 and L1 ASE tests among ASE Certified Master Technicians who designated they were members of TECH-NET Professional Auto Service program and took the Fall 2006 or Spring 2007 ASE automobile certification exams.

Mr. Nye has been a member of TECH-NET Professional Auto Service since 2001 and has also been an active participant in CARQUEST Technical Institute since 2003. He credits the relationship with his local CARQUEST store as a benefit to the success of his business.
"I've know the store manager at the local CARQUEST store since he started as a delivery (representative)," said Nye, who away from his business enjoys hunting and fishing, along with spending time with his wife, Pam, and their two children, Heather and Robbie. "(CARQUEST has) spoiled me with electronic ordering and the TECH-NET and CTI programs are integral parts of my business."
As a winner of the 2007 TECH-NET Professional Auto Service / ASE Technician of the Year, Ney will receive in total more than $30,000 in prizes. He will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the ASE Board meeting and awards ceremony where he will be presented a trophy and gold ring and will join the membership of the CARQUEST Technician Advisory Council held on October 18 through 21, 2007 in Michigan. In addition, he will receive membership in TECH-NET Professional and CARQUEST Technical Institute for one year and be honored as the co-Grand Marshal at the 2008 CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
