The Detroit Film Competition, October 6 and 7 at The Detroit Historical Museum

The Detroit Film Competition focuses on the exceptional talent base in Detroit and surrounding Midwest states with the intent to assist unknown filmmakers, screenwriters, music composers, actors and actresses gain national exposure in the entertainment industry.

Detroit, MI (PRWEB) September 28, 2007 -- The Detroit Film Competition focuses on the exceptional talent base in Detroit and surrounding Midwest states with the intent to assist unknown filmmakers, screenwriters, music composers, actors and actresses gain national exposure in the entertainment industry.

The Detroit Film Competition is a 2-Day regional competition organized by Galore Enterprises, LLC and sponsored by Reel Tyme Entertainment and Inner Circle Enterprises, LLC. The event originally to be held at The Detroit Fine Arts Theater located at 2952 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan has moved to The Detroit Historical Museum located at 5401 Woodward, Detroit, Michigan on Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, 2007 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. Galore Enterprises is contracted by The Vine Entertainment (http://www.thevineent.com), a film production company based in Los Angeles, CA to search for talent in the Midwest Region. The competition consists of 2 categories: Films and Screenplays. In addition, there will be a Musical Score Search and a Casting Call held. The participating states for this regional competition include Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. The winner of The Detroit Film Competition will win a three-night four-day trip to The Vine Entertainment Film Festival. The ultimate goal of this event is to uncover the unknown talent in this region and to assist these individuals with obtaining a possible movie distribution deal.

Day 1: Saturday, October 6

Casting Call
All experienced actors and actresses are invited to a Casting Call for an upcoming thriller to be produced by The Vine Entertainment to begin shooting, mid-November 2007 in Vancouver, Canada. They are seeking experienced actors and actresses to cast for various roles in this movie. Those individuals interested in this opportunity are encouraged to visit us on line to preregister and to bring their head shots, resume and biographies to the event on October 6. There is no registration fee for the casting call.

Musical Score Search
Galore Enterprises is seeking music composers to submit their music for the possible consideration of a musical score deal for upcoming film projects through The Vine Entertainment. Composers may register their work on line or on site on October 6. There is a non-refundable registration fee for submissions.

Talent Networking Event
A Talent Networking Event originally scheduled to be held Saturday night, October 6, 2007 at The Detroit Fine Arts Theater from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. EST has been cancelled.

Day 2: Saturday, October 7
Filmmaker & Screen Writer Competition
All filmmakers and screenwriters are invited to submit their works of short films, feature films and screenplays. The top 20 film and screenplay submissions combined will be sent to The Vine Entertainment for the possible consideration of a distribution deal. The number one submission will be announced as the winner of The Detroit Film Competition and will win a three-night four-day trip to The Vine Entertainment Film Festival held in Santa Monica, California, November 8 through November 11, 2007. There is a non-refundable registration fee for submissions.
