"A Night with a Few Cool People"
Atlanta filmmakers Corey Ramey and Kirsten Person-Ramey score again with a test screening of their second feature film, Sister Moon.
(PRWEB) September 24, 2007 -- On Saturday, September 15, 2007, Carla Long of Big Shoes Enterprises, proudly introduced her younger sister and brother-in-law to a sold out crowd at Cinefe' Theatre in Lithonia, Georgia. The occasion was an invitation only screening of Sister Moon, the second feature film by Cool People Entertainment and it was hosted by Natasha Ball and William Isler of Bottum Lyne Entertainment. Just one year after the release of their first feature, Mary Proud, the dynamic Ramey duo presented their dramatic thriller in a night to remember.
According to producer Corey Ramey, "People came from as far as Flint, Michigan to see the movie." His wife and the director of the film, Kirsten Person-Ramey adds "And don't forget the young lady who drove 8 hours from Louisiana to see the movie."
In true Hollywood fashion, Mark Williams and his Rule Hollywood staff were present to film the event for an upcoming "Rule Hollywood" television episode. It was truly a night to remember, as Kirsten and Corey, along with daughters Amaris, Aria, Anais, and newborn Aliya entered from the back of the theatre and vowed to "Never look back…It's Hollywood baby!" What a feat is was to complete the film, considering that one day before production started, there was no budget, no camera, no crew, one light, and news of a fourth baby for the producing partners. When asked what pulled them through, the under thirty producers both agreed that it was their faith in God, love for film, and the tireless efforts of executive producer, Shirley Person. After the success of Mary Proud, it was just natural to sign Mrs. Person on as executive producer for this project.
Also in attendance at the event was boxer Wayland Willingham, author Thomas Green Jr. and wife, music supervisor Australia Hoover, attorney Chanel St. Junious, Niki-O and the Hot Mics Entertainment Divas, and several of the stars of the movie including Bianca M. Houston, Shimone Woodberry, Tara Wilson, comedian Dontee' Ray, Dalanski Robinson, Gwendolen McCloud, Rushia M. Cooper, Corey Reese, Sherrie Shealey, Justin Traylor and J. Adonis Breveard. "It was good to see so many of our stars again," explained Cool People casting director Lori Samuels, who personally handpicked all of the stars of the movie along with Kirsten and Corey.
At the conclusion of the screening, all filmmakers Kirsten and Corey could say to their ensemble cast was "See ya' at the top," and for these two, that definitely doesn't appear to be too far in the immediate future!
