SFXsource.com, an online sound effect and sound design library for Film, TV, and New Media, launches and provides professional quality and custom sound effects and production. Music composition and sound design house Architect of Sound and web design company Insomniac Design Inc. teamed up to produce this sleek, easy to use website of boutique quality audio.

Arlington, VA (PRWEB) September 27, 2007 -- Music composition and sound design company Architect of Sound teamed up with web design company Insomniac Design Inc. in early 2007 to put a fresh face on downloadable sound effect and sound design products for Film/TV/New Media. The end result of their collaborative effort is the recently launched http://www.sfxsource.[SFXsource.com, an online sound effect and production music library which offers all of its samples as professional quality .wavs and .mp3s (48k 24bit and 320kbps respectively). "Producers, video editors, animators, and web designers alike have been clamoring recently for audio products whose quality rise above many of the available products of current online libraries which carry thousands of poor quality samples with low sample and bit rates. We decided to offer only the highest resolution audio in our library and leave out the lower quality files," says sound designer/composer Adam A. Johnson.

SFXsource.com presents itself as a boutique alternative to other behemoth sound effect libraries that carry vast redundancy in sound effects and lack customization. "We aim to offer the best of our collection in order to streamline user's searches. It can be counter productive when a search for "rain" brings up 400 different rain samples, which can be the case with libraries who simply pack as much audio as possible into their holdings without care for quality," explains Johnson. "In addition, we have a simple 'request a sound' feature which allows users to contact us directly for custom sound design. Currently, if we do not have what you need in our growing library then we offer to record it or create it for you at no additional charge," adds Johnson.

The design of SFXsource also grew as an alternative to existing audio product libraries whose pages brim chaotically with colors, fonts, images, deals, offers etc. As Insomniac Design owner Dan McKee explains, "With the SFXsource site we focused on minimalism, tightness of design, and ease of use for the visitor. We did not want to barrage the user with too much textual screaming so we opted for simplicity and quality, also incorporating minimal flash elements to add an entertainment value to the site." Other design contributors include creative consultant Larissa Leclair, graphic artist Roger Cameron of Magical Go-Go who created the SFXsource logo, web designer Daphna Kalman of Insomniac Design, and flash/web designer John Rossey of JR Productions.
