Professional Ice Hockey Special Floor Mat Problem Solved by Martinson-Nicholls

Dan Ruminski, President of Martinson-Nicholls met with Greg about 40 days before the big event. A 30' by 40' carpet, vinyl backed, non slip mat was required; one that would not move while it was on the ice. The mat needed to roll up easily for the Monsters building crew had exactly four minutes for set up and even less time for tear down. The mat had to be burgundy in color and have an aggressive, anti-slip surface. "Dan brought a sample floor mat to our first meeting of exactly what we were looking for," quoted Greg. "He also created the budget number we needed to make this work."
The carpet matting initially came in 6' X 60' rolls. These rolls then needed to be fabricated into the needed 30' X 40' mat by Martinson-Nicholls. Their new seaming process allows them to create almost any size mat and easily ship it to all parts of the country. A combination of special glue and seaming tape are key to this process. To create a consistent color, Martinson-Nicholls orders all material from the same color run.
The combination of this carpet matting and Martinson-Nicholl's new seaming process makes it possible to create large mats for a variety of commercial properties, including resorts, restaurants, and hospitals.
The Friday before the Saturday game Dan and his crew arrived at Quicken Loans Arena to assemble seven pieces of floor matting into a single 30' X 40' mat. "To my amazement," quoted Greg, "I met Dan at our loading dock, showed him our work area, then left for two hours, only to return to one stunning 30' X 40' burgundy mat. Allowing some four hours for the mat glue to dry, the mat was ready for our crew to begin rehearsal of set up for the next day's game. All went extremely well.
