Quest for WSOP Seats Intensifies at Absolute Poker with Assassin Bounty Tournaments

Absolute Poker launches new bounty tournaments that pay online poker players cash for every opponent knocked out.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 12, 2008 -- As if Texas Hold'em wasn't intense enough, America's favourite poker game is about to get even more cutthroat with the launch of Absolute Poker's Assassin Bounty Tournaments.

This is online poker action to die for
"This is online poker action to die for," stated David Clainer, Senior Vice President for Absolute Poker. "Just as we did with the introduction of Bad Beat Jackpot, we're making it easier for players to profit big from Texas Hold'em without necessarily finishing in the money."

The popular online poker site's new Assassin Bounty Tournaments are just like regular Texas Hold'em matches but with an additional buy-in and an enticing twist. An extra buy-in is attached to every online poker player's head and is released to the player who knocks them out.

Clainer notes that since each tournament puts a price on every player's head, it's easier for online poker fans to cash in without necessarily winning a game.

Headlining Absolute Poker's bounty tournament schedule is a $200+9 Texas Hold'em tournament on Saturdays at 20:30 ET with a guaranteed World Series of Poker Main Event seat on the line. Of the $209 buy-in, $100 goes to the prize pool and $9 goes to the house as an industry-standard tournament fee. The remaining $100 is reserved for the bounty.

Every time the winner of a hand knocks a poker player out of Saturday's bounty tournament, they'll secure the $100 bounty attached to that player's head. With hundreds of online poker players seated in a typical tournament, the opportunity to win thousands of dollars is plentiful.

Online poker players looking to cash in on Absolute Poker's bounty tournament offering can win a spot in Saturday's tournament from as little as $4. In addition to Saturday's headline bounty event, Absolute Poker has also launched bounty tournaments with lower buy-ins throughout the week.
