Prescolite Introduces Upgrades In Emergency Battery Pack Options

New features lead to easier maintenance without jeopardizing optical performance.
One of Prescolite’s objectives is to continually improve our designs to not only ensure safety, but to maximize optical performance in any setting

Greenville, SC (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 18, 2008 -- Prescolite, a major manufacturer of recessed downlighting for commercial, industrial and residential applications, announces the introduction of its EM Integral option, which combines the indicator light and test button into one component inside the reflector. This removes the traditionally unsightly red button from the ceiling, minimizing distractions for occupants.

Designed to work with the company’s Architektur family of specification-grade six-, eight- and nine- inch downlights, EM Integral was created so it doesn’t affect the optical performance of the intended lighting scheme.

In this updated version, the indicator light can only be seen when standing directly under the fixture. This removes any visible presence of emergency lighting, thus enhancing the comfort of the space.

To reduce the chance of human error, the test switch is pre-wired –- no modification is required upon delivery –- so a contractor can simply install the fixture and then the reflector. Additionally, a dowel rod can be used after installation to access the test switch, which eliminates the need for using a ladder to perform maintenance.

According to Ron Newbold, director of brand management for Prescolite, EM Integral was designed to increase safety for individuals that work, live and play in hospitality, commercial and residential structures, while offering high-performance and ease-of-maintenance benefits for contractors and service personnel.

“One of Prescolite’s objectives is to continually improve our designs to not only ensure safety, but to maximize optical performance in any setting,” added Newbold.
