RegistryPro Confirms Melbourne IT to Join .Pro TLD Relaunch

Chicago, IL (Vocus/PRWEB ) July 22, 2008 -- RegistryPro, the exclusive operator of the .Pro top-level domain (TLD) on the Internet, announced today that Melbourne IT, one of the top 15 global domain name registrars, has agreed to participate in the highly-anticipated .Pro TLD (Top Level Domain) relaunch on September 8, 2008.

The .Pro TLD relaunch on September 8, 2008 will culminate a multiphase roll out that began on May 14 with the announcement that ICANN had approved new registration guidelines for the TLD, significantly opening up the domain. Subsequently, on June 12, 2008, RegistryPro announced the Third Level Transition Initiative, which allows current .Pro registrants to pre-order second-level domains through September 5. The next phase will begin on July 21, 2008, with the Pre-Registration Period, wherein new customers can reserve .Pro domains prior to the go-live date on September 8.
