Blood, Sweat & Gears

Charity bike rides are very much in vogue for the glazing industry and Conservatory Outlet, Barry Dunlop and Sloane Helicopters have joined the trend by agreeing to sponsor Cycle India on behalf of HEAL, a UK based children's charity.

Wakefield, United Kingdom (PRWEB) January 2, 2008 -- Charity bike rides are very much in vogue for the glazing industry and Conservatory Outlet, Barry Dunlop and Sloane Helicopters have joined the trend by agreeing to sponsor Cycle India on behalf of HEAL, a UK based children's charity.

Now in its 15th year, HEAL (Health and Education for All) is committed to providing shelter, support, education and health care for needy children. HEAL is already planning to expand over the coming years with further projects, thanks to the funds raised through events such as Cycle India, with the aim of helping up to 1000 children escape the poverty trap by the end of the decade. It is hoped that the Cycle India event will raise over £100,000 for the charity with over £75,000 already committed by many generous sponsors including a number from the glazing industry.

As a relatively successful company we feel that we have a social responsibility to help those less fortunate than ourselves. HEAL has proven to be a perfect vehicle for this and Cycle India will make a real difference to children requiring shelter, support, education and health care. Anyone wanting to contribute can do so on my Just Giving page. It's a very worthy cause.
The team including Matthew Glover and 3 other members from Conservatory Outlet, will be cycling 200 miles from Rajahmundry to Guntur in the state of Andhra Pradesh over 4 days, including over a day at the Heal Children's Village in Guntur. The Conservatory TV film crew will also be flying over to record the whole event and video footage will be added to www.conservatorytv.com; www.barrydunlop.com; and www.heal.co.uk

Matthew Glover, managing director of Conservatory Outlet comments: "As a relatively successful company we feel that we have a social responsibility to help those less fortunate than ourselves. HEAL has proven to be a perfect vehicle for this and Cycle India will make a real difference to children requiring shelter, support, education and health care. Anyone wanting to contribute can do so on my Just Giving page. It's a very worthy cause."
