Cynthia Bechill Appointed President of International Academy of Design & Technology
Today the International Academy of Design & Technology announced that Cynthia Bechill has been appointed to the position of president of the Troy campus effective immediately.
Troy, MI (Vocus/PRWEB ) January 9, 2008 -- Today the International Academy of Design & Technology announced that Cynthia Bechill has been appointed to the position of president of the Troy campus effective immediately.
Bechill had been the Director of Human Resources at the Academy since July 2005 before taking on the role of Interim President in September 2007. During the interim period she demonstrated the skills and leadership needed to take the campus to the next level.
“It’s an exciting time for the Academy,” said Bechill about the growing campus. “We have wonderful faculty and staff that will help our college to continue to prosper. We embrace our students and encourage them to follow their dreams. I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead this campus.”
Bechill holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management from Rochester College, Associate of General Business degree from Macomb Community College, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from HRCI, and a HR Generalist Certificate from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She has more than 20 years of leadership and management experience in sales, marketing, and consulting in the automotive and service industries.

The International Academy of Design & Technology was originally founded in Chicago in 1977. The Troy campus was established in 2003 to help Michigan students develop their skills and abilities needed for success in the fields of design and technology. The career-oriented degree programs provide hands-on training and real-world insights, taught by industry professionals who work in the fields in which they teach. The Academy is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate and bachelor degrees. The Academy currently offers degree programs in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Game Design, Fashion Design, and Digital Media.
