Liveprocess 3.0 Release Delivers Essential Emergency Management Tools for Hospitals - Helps Emergency Coordinators Meet Growing Compliance Needs

LiveProcess, the leader in healthcare emergency preparedness and response, today announced the release of Version 3.0 of the LiveProcess Platform, a web-based application for emergency management. Designed to enhance the solution with a broad range of powerful new features and functionality - hese diverse enhancements will help emergency coordinators to meet their growing emergency preparedness, emergency management, and disaster recovery needs.

Verona, New Jersey (PRWEB) January 16, 2008 -- LiveProcess, the leader in healthcare emergency preparedness and response, today announced the release of Version 3.0 of the LiveProcess Platform, a web-based application for emergency management. Designed to enhance the solution with a broad range of powerful new features and functionality, the software now includes a new National Incident Management System (NIMS) Compliance tool, redesigned Event Log, Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) automated alert and notification, General purpose alert and notification, enhanced reporting capabilities, the LiveProcess Community, and more. These diverse enhancements will help emergency coordinators to meet their growing emergency preparedness, emergency management, and disaster recovery needs.

States Michael Neyer, LiveProcess Director Product Management, "With components such as general notification, compliance assessment tools, and directed communications, this latest release of the LiveProcess Platform will transform the way healthcare emergency managers address their day-to-day needs as well as respond to incidents."

Relationships and tools are two of the best assets for navigating through an incident. This new community portal helps to link people and businesses across town and across the world.
For example, the new NIMS Compliance tool enables users to understand and address all 17 elements of NIMS Compliance as they apply specifically to healthcare. Through a simple interface, Emergency Coordinators can track their current compliance levels, their progress over time, and the tasks associated with achieving full NIMS compliance. Graphing and a report capability provide at-a-glance status views.

The redesigned Event Log puts all the functionality needed to manage an incident or exercise at the user's fingertips. Explains David Berry, LiveProcess Chief Technology Officer, "Far broader functionality supports topic-specific breakout discussions. Thus, two hospitals can have a sidebar discussion during a larger dialogue within a community of hospitals. That discussion may later be recorded in the master Event Log once the event concludes."

The new General notification engine allows customers to quickly notify any number of customized groups of urgent information at any time. This functionality is available along with current ICS notification tools, and can be activated throughout the course of an event as well as during normal daily operations.

The augmented LiveProcess reporting capability provides a range of new reports, designed specifically for healthcare, along with a new focus on customization. For example, a large medical organization or hospital system could generate a report that provides a high-level, dashboard view for all of the facilities in the group. Other customized reports will deliver the information needed by specific hospitals to deal with their unique circumstances with regard to ICS (Incident Command System), HVA (Hazard Vulnerability Analysis), and JAS (Job Action Sheet) data.

The new LiveProcess Community provides an open forum for Emergency Management professionals around the country to launch discussions, share experiences and access valuable reference materials. By using the new LiveProcess Community, you can connect with Emergency Management professionals from anywhere at any time.

Says LiveProcess VP Quality and Compliance Mitch Saruwatari, "Relationships and tools are two of the best assets for navigating through an incident. This new community portal helps to link people and businesses across town and across the world."

Concludes Saruwatari, "At LiveProcess, we really do listen to the needs of our customers. We'll continue making every effort to further improve our Platform and tools based on their valuable feedback."
