Book a Hollywood Star for Your Next Viral Video; New Site Launches

Starmashers launch allows users to tell stars what to say.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 17, 2008 -- Starmashers (http://www.starmashers.com) lets users make stars say anything they want. By simply typing in text, users of Starmashers can make a video mashup of their favorite celebrity saying just about anything. What used to take professional video editors weeks of work can now be done by any user in seconds.

Using individual, pre-cut clips, Starmashers' patent-pending technology, auto concatenates in real-time the recorded words of a selected star. Users can fashion this content to generate clips of their favorite stars saying custom messages - the end result being a single video file which can be played, embedded or emailed.

While it's far from the invention of the movable type, Starmashers hopes to democratize video mashups.
Users familiar with video editing can also upload individual clips of celebrities. Editors can use movies, speeches, TV shows, or any video available to them. So, truly, any star can be made to say just about anything.

"We created this site so people can have fun with their favorite stars. Since some stars have said curse words in the past, it's quite possible for stars to say very funny things," said Charles Katz, founder of Starmashers. "While it's far from the invention of the movable type, Starmashers hopes to democratize video mashups."

Initial stars on the site include political figures such as George Bush, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton. Other stars can be uploaded by the public.
