The Wolfpack Film Group, a Hot New Austin-Based Production Collective, Completes Principal Photography on First Feature Film, "Anything for Now."

WPFG studios and the Wolfpack Film Group successfully wrapped principal photography on "Anything for Now," a SAG ultra low budget feature film shot in Austin, TX using an all Texas cast and crew with a micro-budget of under a million dollars.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) January 17, 2008 -- WPFG studios and the Wolfpack Film Group successfully wrapped principal photography on "Anything for Now," a SAG ultra low budget feature film shot in Austin, TX using an all Texas cast and crew with a micro-budget of under a million dollars.

This well crafted and efficiently executed independent feature film, produced and managed by Wolfpack founder and Award-Winning Producer Robin Blesch, wrapped two days ahead of schedule and a few thousand dollars under budget after shooting for 21 days on a very aggressive 6 day a week shooting schedule. The cohesive production crew comprised of mostly Wolfpack Film Group members was described by Director of Photography Michael Morlan as "a well oiled machine," and many other collaborators raved that it was the best film set they had ever worked on.

The film was shot in 15 different public and private locations and one custom built set including Chaparral Ice skating rink, Northcross Mall, Ruta Maya Coffee House, and a major university. With skating scenes shot on the ice with custom developed equipment, driving scenes in heavy traffic, underwater shooting, a 24ft truck filled with cutting edge film equipment, and up to 70 people on the set at any given time, the making of "Anything for Now" looked more like a large budget studio production than a micro-budget independent film.

"Anything for Now," written and directed by H.R. McDonald and shot by Director of Photography Michael Morlan, is a 90-minute coming of age drama staring Aaron Hallaway as Cory, a quiet film student attempting to cope with depression and the loss of a loved one by making a documentary about a half crazed conspiracy theorist who believes the world is about to descend into major catastrophe. Cory's naïve mysterious nature attracts the attention of Kim, a quirky loner drama student played by Kristin Malko. Her presence in his life leads to a series of events that cause Cory to confront his troubling issues and begin to move forward.

The ecstatic production team had no time to celebrate the success of this feature shoot, because the next day they went into production on a large commercial for a well known national women's clothing brand which was shot on major streets in downtown Austin and is scheduled to begin airing in April. All this comes on the heels of a very busy 2007 for Mrs. Blesch and other members of the Wolfpack Film Group, including a series of 47 ads for Match.com seen round the globe on Myspace and other popular websites.

Producer Robin Blesch and Writer/director H.R. McDonald have plans to enter the finished film into several major film festivals, and efforts to secure a distribution deal have already begun. Editing and the rest of post-production is scheduled to run thought the end of April.
