(PRWEB) January 22, 2008 -- On Sunday February 17th, 8 Long Island blues bands will participate in a fundraiser for ContractorsForKids.Org. The music for the afternoon includes Act1Entertainment.Net's "Brothers & Sisters In Blues Touring Group" artists such as Tommy Keys & Company, The Hitman Blues Band, BigDaddy & The Bulldogs, Acoustic & Electric Breakaway, Cross Island Traffic, Motu and The RoadHouse Jesters.

The event will be held in conjunction with MOTU & The RoadHouse Jesters CD Release Party. The band was recorded on October 6th 2007 at BigDaddy's 213th Edition of Sizzlin Saturday Night Jam at Tailgator's Sports Bar in Patchogue. It was the first time the band had ever played together, and 3 of the members had never met each other before that evening. The recording came out surprising well that MOTU decided to market it and have it available at Best Buy Stores on Long Island as well as CDBaby.Com and on the bands website http://www.roadhousejesters.com/ .

This special Sunday afternoon all of the performers will be working to help Contractors For Kids mission "to eliminate financial hardship in our communities brought on by the sickness of a child. One family at a time, we need to make sure that the financial hardship brought on by a sick child does not destroy an already hurt family. Whether it is to pay a phone bill or mortgage payment, we will be there. Whether it be aiding in paying for medical bills deemed "experimental" or due to lack of insurance, we will be there. Whether it be arranging transportation or paying for a room to allow families to remain close during these tough times, we will be there. In the heart breaking cases when a child does not survive their illness and a family needs financial help with burying a child, we will be there. We will do as many of these things to the best of our ability, we will always be there, and for this we are responsible, for this is our passion, for this is our vision" .

The non-profit group, relies on private donations to help local families in need. Donations will be accepted, there is no cover charge for the event. All bands appear courtesy of The Brothers & Sisters In Blues" a www.Act1Entertainment.Net touring group that performs at local venues to assist ones less fortunate then ourselves.

The music starts at 2:00 p.m. at Bobbqiue 70 West Main Street Patchogue. Raffles, Drink Specials, Real Pit Barbeque and Great Live Blues will all be on tap. For more information, or to donate items to the raffle contact Karl "Big Daddy" Reamer at 631-758-3505.
