Full Sail Sponsors Video Games Live

Full Sail Real World Education (www.fullsail.com) is serving as one of the primary sponsors of Video Games Live (VGL) (www.videogameslive.com), an international concert event happening this Thursday, January 24 at Hard Rock Live Orlando (www.hardrocklive.com).

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) January 25, 2008 -- Full Sail Real World Education (www.fullsail.com) is serving as one of the primary sponsors of Video Games Live (VGL) (www.videogameslive.com), an international concert event happening this Thursday, January 24 at Hard Rock Live Orlando (www.hardrocklive.com).

The show features music from the most popular video games performed by top orchestras and choirs, while also providing unique on-stage interactive segments with the audience and a pre-show festival.
VGL has performed to sold-out audiences around the world since 2005. The show is produced and created by veteran video game composers, Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. Together they bring to life the power and emotion of a symphony orchestra mixed with the energy and excitement of a rock concert combined with the cutting edge visuals, technology, interactivity and fun that video games provide.

VGL draws upon the music of a variety of popular games, both classic and new, ranging from Pong to Rainbow Six. It is more of an interactive and immersive experience that attempts to bridge the gap between the visuals of video games and the music of video games.

Tallarico said, "I am putting on a world tour of the greatest video game music and licenses of all time played by a 60-piece orchestra and a 32-person choir. Nowhere in the history of the industry have 20,000 fans gathered together to celebrate video games."

In addition to the show, during the pre-show festival, VGL will feature the winner of the Orlando Science Center and Full Sail's recent Otronicon (www.otronicon.org) Rock Band Competition as the opening act. Otronicon, the ultimate video game experience, successfully ran its third year this January, and throughout its existence has attracted more than 45,000 people.

"For the last three years, Full Sail has had the pleasure of serving at the presenting sponsor of Otronicon alongside the Orlando Science Center. It has been a wonderful way to showcase our knowledge and expertise within the video game industry, and provide a gaming experience to the local Central Florida community," said Isis Jones, Chief Information Officer, Full Sail. "To conclude Otronicon by also sponsoring Video Games Live, is another exceptional way to bring an exciting gaming event to the Orlando area, and bring national awareness to our continually evolving digital market."
