Rethinking Our Thought Patterns

In the new book "Puppetmyst," learn how a puppet can help us be whimsical.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) January 27, 2008 --What do people, puppets, mannequins and trees have in common? Author Ronald M. Silva asks that question in his book Puppetmyst: A Mannequin's Heart (paperback, 978-1-60477-457-3; hardcover, 978-1-60477-472-6). People don't grow on trees, mannequins don't have fingerprints, and puppets don't think…or do they? he wonders. "Are they a whimsical picture of us or of themselves?"

Silva says his book is fantasy-like in character but that it has "all the elements of a heartwarming, heartbreaking and heartfelt comedy." He has chosen a boy, as "empty-headed as a puppet, as strong and unyielding as an oak, with the heart of a mannequin, to change us back into our whimsical selves."

Along with being wholesome, he says readers need to be positive in their thinking. He cautions us to be careful what we think, that our thought processes can sometimes do harm to us as well as to others.

According to the author, trials and tribulations can make us stronger, and the wisdom we learn from those trials can help others who might be facing what we have experienced. He himself came from sparse circumstances, and he has shared enough of his past in the book so readers can relate to him.

While seeming aloof in his ideals concerning music, art, movies and writing, Ronald M. Silva considers himself to be down-to-earth with people.
