Author Once was Lost, but Through Grace of God was Found

Former rock and roll party animal/Vietnam vet pens words of wisdom.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) January 27, 2008 -- Author Thomas Treece worked a variety of odd jobs ever since his first newspaper route at the Monroe Evening News. Some of those jobs included clothing store salesman, department manager, grocery store stock boy, factory worker, motorcycle shop manager, telethon host, and public speaker. After coming full circle, Treece wound up exactly where he started: at the Monroe Evening News, working as a columnist. In But What Do I Know? Vol. I (From Carrier to Columnist) ($23.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-341-5; $35.99, hardcover, 978-1-60477-342-2), the writer waxes nostalgic and offers his perceptions and thoughts -- in a collection of essays and columns -- on his life journey from carrier to columnist.

Says Treece, "The book is a Bible-based baby boomer's historical collection of personal opinions and timely, true-life experiences of life from moms in Michigan to Muslims in Madrid, from no victory in Vietnam to jubilant Jesus in Jerusalem."

As a youth, Treece says he nearly failed high school English and had virtually no college or writing experience. When asked how he was chosen to write these columns that appeared week after week in the Monroe Evening News for the past four years, he maintained it was "the hand of God on my life. Each week I ask(ed) Him to give me a column, and inside this book is what (came) out." Treece hopes his book will offer readers wisdom as well as become a potential guide for those struggling with direction in life.

Tom Treece and his wife, Renee, live in Monroe, Michigan, and cherish time with their sons, John and Nathan, and grandsons, Drake and Gaige.
