Lullabies Become Part of The American Dream

Musicians appear on CNBC becoming part of Donny Deutsch's "The Big Idea" on the 'The American Dream Team' segment. Cher and Gene Klosner used rich vocals and authentic instrumentation performed by symphony and jazz players to create a soothing 2-disc lullaby CD of the highest quality for all ages, including a 24-page booklet and additional instrumental tracks to help parents sing to their children.

Omaha, NE (PRWEB) January 27, 2008 -- Lullabies have an enticing way of bringing memories of childhood, comfort, and sentimental moments. Stardust, a 2-disc lullaby CD created by award winning singer/songwriter siblings, Cher and Gene Klosner, gave a sneak-peek of the virtue in a
great lullaby when the duo appeared on 'The Big Idea' with Donny Deutsch January 21, 2008 on CNBC.

Featured on 'The American Dream Team' segment of the show, which encourages entrepreneurs to send a clip of how to follow business dreams, Cher spoke about how the inspiration to create Stardust came from the enjoyment of singing lullabies to her child at bedtime. With thoughts of creating a lullaby CD came the desire to offer a more natural sounding lullaby collection, versus one that is heavily synthesized, which Cher states is, "prevalent on many children's musical recordings."

Cher and Gene, whose music has been performed by the Omaha and Indianapolis Symphonies, Cincinnati Pops and others, wished to offer listeners a lullaby collection composed with authentic instrumentation, that could also serve as a medium in which parents and children could
enjoy lullabies together.

"After my son was born, singing and playing lullaby music became part of our 'night-night' routine," stated Cher. "But, I became frustrated by the prevalence of synthesized instrumentation that, unfortunately, lacks the human touch, feel and emotion that comes from a real instrument and a live player." Rather than use heavily synthesized 'instrument sound-alikes', Stardust was composed with as many real instruments, as possible; like oboe, flute, violin, grand piano, acoustic guitar and cello. Cher explained that when mixed with a combination of rich, lilting vocals, the resulting collection is a CD filled with soothing, relaxing, harmonious songs for children and adults of all ages to enjoy. "We're finding that the adults like Stardust as much as the kids do."

The Klosners attest that being part of 'The American Dream Team' is a dream come true, and also an important step in promoting the CD to all types of listeners. "We set out to make this a lullaby collection for all ages."
