MoreBeach.com announces its third annual Winter Surfing Photo Contest. Surfers and their friends are invited to submit photos for a chance to win a cash prize and a Billabong wetsuit.
Orleans, MA (PRWEB) January 30, 2008 -- MoreBeach.com announces its third annual Winter Surfing Photo Contest. This year's theme is cold water surfing. Surfers and their friends are invited to submit digital pictures that capture the misery and joy of surfing when it's cold. The top prize is $200 and a Billabong wetsuit. Winter surfing is about soulfulness and exhilaration, beauty and fear, being cold and getting warm again. There's more than a touch of insanity too.
All entries will be published online at MoreBeach.com. Entries must be received by March 14th, 2008. The winner and honorable mentions will be named on March 20th, the first day of spring. Honorable mentions will receive $50 each. Previous contests have seen entries from across the United States and around the world, from South Africa, Australia and Ireland, from West Coast to East Coast and in between. Photos were entered of surfing off the icy shores of Lake Superior, flying across the waves of a nor'easter in Massachusetts and heading in after a snowy session in Maine. Contest entry is fast and free.
