Mike Huckabee definitely has a southern strategy brewing on Super Tuesday as he attempts to rack up delegates in the following key southern states: Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas.

The Schapiro Group Georgia Legislative Poll posted at USAElectionPolls.com shows Mike Huckabee winning the state by 9 percent over John McCain and 10 percent over Mitt Romney. The Rasmussen Reports poll before that had Mike Huckabee winning by 15 percent. The latest poll released for the state, however, shows Mike Huckabee tied with Mitt Romney behind John McCain. The race appears to be fluid in Georgia and a lack of wins by Huckabee has likely affected him in this state.

In Alabama, delegates are awarded proportionally, but for a candidate like Mike Huckabee, desperate for attention, a win here would be critical. The latest Rasmussen Reports poll, according to USAElectionPolls.com, has him just 2 percent behind John McCain. Survey USA has him 9 percent behind.

In Tennessee, the Public Policy Polling organization has Huckabee ahead by 4 percent but Insider Advantage has him behind by 8 percent. There are only two polls released at USAElectionPolls.com that have not included Fred Thompson as a candidate.

In Oklahoma, USAElectionPolls.com has John McCain ahead of Mike Huckabee by 9 percent and in Missouri there's a three-way split for first place amongst Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and John McCain, with the edge going to John McCain.

Mike Huckabee is expected to win his home state of Arkansas.

"What we are seeing out of many of these southern state polls is a surge by John McCain in the wake of his victory in Florida but we would expect that boom to subside as voters reevaluate the candidates.
