Psychiatrist Reveals What Every Husband Wants For Valentine's Day

Psychiatrist Dr. Scott Haltzman, M.D. suggests that sex on Valentine's Day is the perfect gift for your husband--and yourself! Dr. Haltzman's latest book, Secrets of Happily Married Women, reveals that women can actually get more out of their relationships by putting less work into them.

(PRWEB) February 6, 2008 -- Is having sex with your husband his equivalent of your bouquet of long stemmed roses? Renowned psychiatrist Dr. Scott Haltzman, M.D. says, "Yes!"

Dr. Haltzman, a Brown University psychiatrist, has spent years studying men and women's behavior and has been able to pinpoint the specifics of what makes a great relationship work. In his new book, Secrets of Happily Married Women: How to Get More Out of Your Relationship by Doing Less (Jossey-Bass/Wiley; February 2008; $22.95, Cloth; ISBN: 978-0-7879-9612-3), Haltzman reveals that women can be happier and more satisfied in their relationship when they actually start putting less work into it.

As Valentine's Day approaches, many women will run to the store to find the perfect sentimental card or rummage around Victoria's Secret for the most flattering nightie. Wives don't have to work so hard, says Haltzman, because all your husbands want is you. Honest. Dr. Haltzman suggests that the perfect gift can be the simple suggestion of what's to come that night. "When I talk to women who have taken the sexual initiative early in the day, they're amazed at how their husbands respond. Many women will say it's like a switch goes on in their husbands. Suddenly these guys who had seemed only interested in their computers are folding laundry, putting the kids to bed, and lighting candles around the house!"

And don't stop on February 15th. This is an initiative women can, and should, use all year long.
