Giorgio Armani dresses several participants for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 13, 2008 -- Giorgio Armani dressed several participants for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The ceremony was broadcast live from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, Sunday, February 10h, at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.
Multiple nominee and performer Alicia Keys graced the red carpet in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé sapphire duchess satin gown. The vintage-inspired dress features a halter neck and an empire waistline with tiered pleating detail that continues throughout the voluminous train. The back of the dress is completed by a billowing organza underlay. She carried a Giorgio Armani Privé fuscia pink crocodile clutch.
Multiple nominee Beyoncé performed twice wearing Giorgio Armani Privé. For the first performance, she will wear a chartreuse and black beaded jacquard jacket and chartreuse sequined hot pants. The outfit is accented with a sheer white chiffon top and a black satin ribbon necktie. In addition, Beyoncé took the stage in a custom designed Giorgio Armani Privé mini-jumpsuit with a retro halter neckline. The look is encrusted with exaggerated marquis-shaped Swarovski crystals.
Nominee and performer John Mayer wore a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel silk and wool black suit with a polished sheen. The look was completed with a classic black shirt.
Presenter Chris "Ludacris" Bridges wore a Giorgio Armani one-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic black evening shirt, silver necktie and pocket square.
Performer John Legend wore a Giorgio Armani shawl-collar tuxedo from the upcoming 2008-2009 Fall/Winter collection for the Grammy red carpet. The jacket's velvet lapels are accented by a microfiber edging detail. The look is complemented by a velvet shawl-collar vest with a matching cummerbund on the pants. He wore a cream-colored satin shirt with a high regal collar and matching pocket square.
Performer Andrea Bocelli wore a Giorgio Armani two-button peak lapel tuxedo with a classic white evening shirt.
Over the weekend, music industry legend Clive Davis hosted his annual Grammy party wearing a Giorgio Armani custom-designed Made-to-Measure evening jacket. The two-button midnight navy striped velvet jacket's silhouette was completed with black grosgrain peak lapels and a Made-to-Measure vest.
Gavin DeGraw attended the MusicCares Grammy weekend event wearing an Emporio Armani charcoal gray two-button notch lapel suit from the Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED™ collection, along with a classic rose-colored shirt. To complete the look, he also wore an Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED™ watch. The following night, he attended the Clive Davis Grammy party wearing an Emporio Armani two-button peak lapel black pinstripe suit with a pale lilac shirt and lavender striped tie.
Wyclef Jean performed at the Clive Davis Grammy party wearing an Emporio Armani white leather and cotton blouson jacket, an Emporio Armani fashion jean with a classic black Emporio Armani cotton tee-shirt. The look included white leather Emporio Armani tennis shoes.
