San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 12, 2008 -- The goodMix (www.thegoodmix.com), an entrepreneurial-led green marketing agency launched today with the mission of building greener organizations with new business models that make a positive environmental and social impact.
The agency is the first of its kind say its founders, Colette Turbeville and Janet Pomeroy. There are a slew of agencies out there, but few of them cater to the green market and none really do what we offer: a full suite of business and marketing services for regular companies that want to go green and helping the green companies become even more sustainable, says Turbeville, Principal and VP of Media."We are thrilled to help companies participate in a $228 billion marketplace."
Turbeville and Pomeroy come from a solid and green background. They met at West Coast Green (www.westcoastgreen.com), the world's largest residential green building conference hosted in San Francisco, where they handled community outreach and strategy to bring exhibitors, media partners, journalists and attendees in the door. The goodMix worked. Over 400 media outlets covered West Coast Green worldwide; and the event swelled in attendance to over 11,000 in 2007 - up 30% from the inaugural year. Pomeroy is one of the first graduates to hold an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University's Green MBA program (www.greenmba.com). Turbeville has managed marketing of partner relationships with the AIA, City of San Francisco, Google, PG&E, Sunset Magazine and Michelle Kaufmann Designs.
The goodMix clients also reap the benefits of several partnerships. Clear Channel's Green 960, a progressive Bay Area talk radio station; Green Hills Media, a public relations and copywriting firm; Big Show Productions, an event management company whose large roster of clients include: Intel, The Gap, Genentech, and The San Francisco Symphony.
"In order to make a real impact in changing our carbon-intensive businesses, we need to make changes on how we change customer behavior and business practices. It's affirming to see our partners become greener. Clear Channel is making tremendous changes internally that will serve the eco marketplace. Our partnership will fully engage the media in moving sustainability forward," says Pomeroy.
The partners saw a need for a new PR firm when they realized the surplus of companies piling into the green economy, but few realized how to get on board. Their niche is teaching businesses how to do the right thing, but approaching this with traditional and new ways of marketing. Our press releases are written by a journalist who has been writing for national and international magazines and newspapers for 11-years. We know that relationships with the community are key to generating media buzz on anything green and we know how to fuel that conversation. We enjoy getting around the bureaucratic red tape, organizing exciting interactive oppurtunities designed for the media and public to participate in, such as the mkLotus green prefab house outside the mayor's office," Turbeville says.
The goodMix LLC, is privately held and based in San Francisco. The goodMix can be found at: www.thegoodmix.com
