Adorama's 100 in 100 Part II is launched; First week of Photo Tips Special is Underway

In its first week back, Adorama's series, featuring 100 photography tips in 100 days, focuses on helping photographers get better pictures in low light.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 20, 2008 -- For Adorama Camera, one of the top photographic retailers in the United States, this week marks the relaunch of its popular feature, "100 in 100." Offering photographers of all skill levels free picture-taking tips, "100 in 100 Part II" (http://www.adorama.com/Catalog.tpl?op=academy_new&article=100in100_II) promises to deliver 100 photographic tips in 100 days.

Last fall, the original "100 in 100" delivered the first 100 tips. The second hundred articles will be published five days a week for 20 weeks. The series started February 18, and will continue into July.

WOW! Thank You. My goal down the road is to turn my photography into a living and these are excellent ways to do just that.
New features will include weekly themes: Most weeks will have tips exploring different aspects of an area of photographic interest. For instance, this week's theme is improving low-light photography without a flash. Next week, it will be action photography tips and hints. Each week will include a guide to products relevant to the techniques being discussed.

While most tips will be short, and readable in under two minutes and are designed for photographers of all skill levels, there will be an occasional in-depth feature that is geared more towards enthusiasts and professional photographers--Adorama's core audience.

"We listened to comments and studied what our readers were reading and what they were interested in learning, and have adjusted the format accordingly," says Mason Resnick, editor of the Adorama AIRC Learning center, Adorama's unique online photo magazine.

Reader testimonials

100 in 100 has already garnered praise form readers from around the world. Some sample quotes received recently by Adorama:

"I want to thank for the last 100 in 100; it was fabulous. I'm sure this one will be too"

"[The tips are very helpful and practical for anyone, it sure gave me a few tips to improve my own pictures."

"WOW! Thank You. My goal down the road is to turn my photography into a living and these are excellent ways to do just that."
"Thanks for putting this information up for all of us. What an amazing way to think out of the box and build a buzz."

Resnick is inviting bloggers and webmasters with photo-related content to link to "100 in 100," (http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?article=100in100&op=academy_new). "If you have photography-related content on your site, this will add value to it," he notes.

Daily and weekly summaries will be available via the AIRC's News Desk RSS feed (http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=NewsDesk_Home).

Online photo magazine at a retail site?

AIRC - Adorama Imaging Resource Center (http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=academy) is the choice destination for photographers at all levels of experience who want to improve their picture-taking and image-editing skills. AIRC has nearly 400 how-to photography articles, buying guides and picture-selling advice, as well as daily breaking news about the photography industry, written by a team of top photography experts.

Why would Adorama, a well-respected New York-based camera retailer, publish what is essentially an online photo magazine? For the same reason it has also partnered with the Perfect Picture School of Photography (http://www.ppsop.net) to offer online photography courses, and why it offers dozens of workshops for photographers on location in its store in New York's Photo District. "We believe the more information and knowledge we can provide, the more people will trust Adorama both as a reliable information source and as a place where they can feel comfortable buying their photographic gear," says Resnick.
