Wasilla's Best Western Lake Lucille Inn announced today the launch of over $500K in major guest room upgrades and renovations, the closing down of its food and beverage operations and the addition of complimentary deluxe continental breakfast service.

Best Western Lake Lucille Inn has begun over $500K in extensive renovations and upgrades to its guest rooms and facilities in anticipation of the 2008 travel season. These renovations coincide with the closing of the Wasilla landmark's food and beverage operations and new deluxe continental breakfast service.

Another major change announced today is the closing of its food and beverage operations. Instead, guests will be provided a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. Reducing or eliminating food and beverage operations and investing instead in other lodging related services is a growing industry trend. "By eliminating our food and beverage operations, not only are we better able to focus on our core business of running a first-rate lodge, we will also redirect those resources into more amenities such as a new business center and state of the art climate controls," said Sara Idnani, Vice President - Interior Design and Purchasing.
