Penn Jillette Cuts A Rug: The Las Vegas Illusionist Is Preparing For His Appearance On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Popular Las Vegas entertainer Penn Jillette spoke in an interview Friday to "What's On, The Las Vegas Guide" -- just days after being named as a celebrity dancer on the sixth season of "Dancing with the Stars." Now a dancer by day, magician by night (in the long-running "Penn & Teller" show at the Rio), the 52-year-old came clean about never having seen America's most beloved reality TV dance show and the challenges of his new training regimen.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 24, 2008 -- Popular Las Vegas entertainer Penn Jillette spoke in an interview Friday to "What's On, The Las Vegas Guide" -- just days after being named as a celebrity dancer on the sixth season of "Dancing with the Stars." The 52-year-old magician who stars in "Penn & Teller" at the Rio said that he's never even seen the reality TV dance show. However, his wife is definitely a fan.

"My wife watches the show and she's deliriously happy. She's thrilled to little tiny pieces," he said. "She's not the one who's sore all over."

Jillette's dance partner is Kym Johnson and they've already started practicing four to five hours a day. He explained that thanks to his 47-pound weight loss (he's been working out with "a very Draconian" trainer and he began Pilates "just to familiarize myself with humiliation"), he's able to do everything she wants him to do.

And Jillette, too, it seems is training Johnson in the arts of magic and juggling ... so viewers may have a few surprises to look forward to when the pair hits the stage!
