New York, NY (PRWEB) February 26, 2008 -- Sundays in the City Film Festival opens March 2 at The World Famous Tribeca Cinemas in New York. The Festival, now in its fourth year, celebrates independent filmmaking and offers a platform for talented Directors to showcase their productions. This year, Director Joe Valenti and Producer David Wenzel are drawing attention to the Festival with their films The Hacking Chronicles and Think Tank. Valenti Vision Films Productions will showcase both action thrillers on Sunday March 2, at Tribeca Cinemas. Valenti's Production Company is known for taking small budgets and maximizing output well beyond expectations.
The Hacking Chronicles, Directed by Joe Valenti and starring David Wenzel is a full-length action feature film debuting Sunday March 2, at 8pm. The plot focuses on Terrorists threatening to take over the United States using computers as opposed to weapons. This action-packed thriller pins you to the edge of your seat, with a Mathematics Professor and Computer Hacker discovering the plan to destroy the country. The Hacking Chronicles, or a "thinking-mans Die Hard", as proclaimed by David Wenzel, promises to offer a new twist on action genre.
The second production debut from Joe Valenti and David Wenzel is Think Tank. This action-packed series offers viewers a cutting dose of reality with possibilities of how 9/11 could have been prevented. The story quickly moves to present day revolving around a new government team focusing on a "domestic charter". "The opening scenes of Think Tank takes the viewers for a Brain-Ride", David Wenzel states, "this kind of thriller will change today's movies." The new production-duo which claimed fame from their smash web-hit "The Amazing Adventure of Little Batman", offer a new way of movie going. Their style of film leads the viewer entranced in the film while thinking alongside the cast trying to uncover the plots.
Joe Valenti was born in Toms River, New Jersey and developed a love for filmmaking at an early age self-producing/directing many short films and home-made movies. His first feature film entitled "Lying Beside You" won critical acclaim at the Wilmington Independent Film festival. His next production Mirror to the Mob, won him additional praise and established his presence amongst such Directors as Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese. Valenti's next film "The Foursome" is scheduled to shoot late 2008.
David Wenzel was born in Methuen, Massachusetts and came to NYC to study acting. While working with Brad Pitt on Sleepers, David developed his career into the film industry leading him to roles in Old Dogs and Duck Hunt. He co-wrote Think Tank with his brother Kevin Wenzel after being touched by the developments after 9/11.
