Celebrity Guests to Help Celebrate Mercy Ministries' 25th Anniversary

During the weekend of April 17-19, 2008, multiple celebrities will gather in Nashville, TN to help celebrate the anniversary of Mercy Ministries, an organization that's transforming the lives of young women with life-controlling issues around the world.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 26, 2008 -- Mercy Ministries, an international organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young women with life controlling issues free-of-charge, will celebrate twenty-five years April 17-19, 2008 in Nashville, TN. In an effort to show their support of the organization, several celebrity guests will take part in a series of events planned for the anniversary weekend, which include a fundraising gala at LP Field (home of the Tennessee Titans) and an exclusive concert and all-day women's conference at the Belmont University Curb Center.

Supermodel and co-host of Bravo's hit show Make Me a Supermodel, Niki Taylor, will make a special appearance at the fundraising gala at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, April 17th at 6pm. Masters of ceremonies will be Kevin Mawae, a Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl Center, and Shelly Breen of the multiple Dove Award-winning group, Point of Grace. The night will include a special performance from Grammy Award-winning artist, CeCe Winans, and a message from Mercy Ministries founder, Nancy Alcorn.

On Friday night, April 18th, multiple award-winning artists will come together for a unique concert at the Belmont University Curb Center at 7pm. Artists include American Idol finalist, Mandisa, Dove Award-winning artists, BarlowGirl, GMA Female Vocalist of the Year, Natalie Grant, Grammy nominees Israel Houghton and New Breed, and spokespersons for the organization since the early 1990's, Point of Grace. Master of Ceremonies is Ericka Dunlap, 2004 Miss America.

Nancy Alcorn, founder of Mercy Ministries, will be one of five world-renowned speakers at an all day women's conference at the Belmont University Curb Center on Saturday, April 19th starting at 9:30 a.m. Other speakers include best selling author from Sydney, Australia, Christine Caine, motivational speaker, Priscilla Shirer, author and former actress Holly Wagner, and best-selling author and speaker Charlotte Scanlon-Gambill from the United Kingdom. Natalie Grant, Israel Houghton and New Breed will provide music for the event.

On Saturday morning, men will gather for a 9:00 a.m. breakfast at Loews Vanderbilt hotel. Ken Mansfield, a best-selling author and former U.S. manager for The Beatles' Apple Records, will give a special presentation. Music performances will be led by the legendary Randy Stonehill and recent inductee to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Phil Keaggy.
