Step-Gremlins Haunt Blended Families
Few stepparents are aware of how their families are under constant attack by a nasty, negative, uninvited guest that is calling all the shots in their homes -- someone, or something, called a "Gremlin" by best-selling author and counselor, Rick Carson. On March 6, 2008, Carson will be interviewed live as part of the "Ask the Expert" series offered by Blended-Families.com, LLC.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) February 29, 2008 -- Stepparents struggling with ongoing challenges will have their chance to ask an expert their specific questions and get them answered during a one hour live interview. On March 6, 2008, Emily Bouchard, founder of Blended-Families.com, will be interviewing Rick Carson, author of "Taming Your Gremlin". Bouchard will use questions submitted by visitors to the new site -- BlendedFamilyExperts.com. Stepparents and stepchildren alike are also invited to submit their Gremlin names and pictures to TamingYourGremlin.com.
R ick Carson is an imaginative and skilled writer who entertains while he deftly explains how to effectively deal with inner conflicts and fear of change in his Taming Your Gremlin book and CDs. He has identified and personified the Gremlin and gives practical tools to tame this irritating, destructive little creature that lives within everyone, to one degree or another.
Carson describes a Gremlin as "a persistent inner voice that constantly inhibits stepparents with negative comments that undermine their sense of self, their confidence and their ability to change." This is a huge obstacle in allowing parents in blended families to enjoy their lives. Carson's work gives gremlin-tamers freedom to react and respond to their world in ways that they feel empowered and effective.
According to Carson, Gremlins do some of their best dirty work in blended families. When Emily Bouchard, founder of Blended-Families.com learned about this connection, she invited Carson to be a guest on their new series of expert interviews. "I want to give blended families access to the best possible resources who will answer their toughest questions in a way that brings them greater peace and fulfillment in their family life," says Bouchard, explaining why they chose Carson to be their guest in March. Bouchard goes on to say, "if we can help even one stepmom tame a gremlin that causes her misery so that she can be more present and more able to enjoy her stepchildren, then we have made a difference in the lives of everyone in that household."
