The client, a Saddle River homeowner, sought an outdoor kitchen with a bar and dining room that complemented the elegant brick exterior of the house. Cipriano Landscape Design's own Bill Moore, a New Jersey Certified Landscape Architect, devised an entertaining area--complete with stainless steel appliances--that went beyond simply coordinating with its surroundings.

The outdoor living space in Saddle River includes a fully functioning kitchen and bar outfitted with a sink, honed bluestone countertops and stainless-steel Viking appliances. They are encased within a brick veneer and set upon a bluestone patio that is fringed with a matching seat wall. But what truly distinguishes this outdoor room is the custom pergola that arches overhead. Designed by Moore and fabricated by the companies skilled craftsmen, it shades the food preparation and bar areas. Combined with limestone balusters along the perimeter, the overall design evokes the regality of a European garden.
