Atlanta, Ga. (PRWEB) March 11, 2008 -- Tyler Perry and his cousin Marlon Campbell are keeping it in the family on their quest to take over Hollywood. Singer now turned Screenwriter Marlon Campbell announced today that The William Morris Agency will provide talent for lead roles in his first theatrical release film Oblivious. The action/suspense/thriller has been slated for a summer 2009 release.

Campbell started his music career in the early 80's as "Shy" the flashy Front Man for one of the first southern musical acts to ever achieve world wide notoriety with his band Shy Shy & the C.R.I. M. E. Identified as a trendsetter by both record executives and artists Campbell stretched his wings with opportunities to perform for and collaborate with artists The Emotions, Cappadonna of WU Tang Clan, Nirvana, DJ Easy Rock, LL Cool J and Quincy Jones. Campbell fondly remembers performing on the same stage with songstress Mariah Carey. Mr. Campbell was Tyler Perry's first film distributor before Perry crossed over to LionGate.

Already signed on to the film is actress Natina Reed from Bring It On, Eight time Grammy Award Winning Publisher, recipient of two Congressional Awards and Best Selling Author, Jay Warner as Music/Creative Director along with rapper TQ. Also cast for the film Actor Eric Martinez from Love Lies Bleeding, Atlanta Falcon's NFL player Ovie Mughelli.

OBLIVIOUS is a film about "being in the right place at the wrong time" and actually realizing that "everything that glitters isn't gold". Whatever the proverb, OBLIVIOUS is an anecdote about doing the right thing under the most extreme circumstances.
