Obama's Movement in Polls Cause of Indigestion for Politicards Illustrator

The recent six month re-positioning of Barack Obama from that of a Longshot to Democratic front-runner has more than just Hillary's camp scarfing down Rolaids, it's been wreaking havoc on Politicards' founder and illustrator Peter Green.

Glendale, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2008 -- The recent six month re-positioning of Barack Obama from that of a Longshot to Democratic front-runner has more than just Hillary's camp scarfing down Rolaids, it's been wreaking havoc on Politicards' founder and illustrator Peter Green. So much so in fact, that a self-induced dietary change was implemented.

"This is like a disturbance in the Force," Green confides between phone calls and half-hearted stabs at his Spinach Salad. "Even the croutons don't agree with me."

Apparently, neither do the polls. And that has Green spending his days running frantic around his office calling printers and retailers alike.

"Politicards has really been the unoffical ranking system for every election year since 1972. Someone buys the deck and they get 54 poker sized cards with a humorous Whose-Who of politicians and pundits - ranked in order of importance." Green goes on to say that it's not just this year's Hollywood movie-themed caricatures that attract the buyers. "Yes, it's the ranking. People want to know where their favorite candidate is placed. Is he a Nine or 10 of Clubs?"

Or a King, like Barack Obama. With Hillary Clinton the Ace. In poker, that's a trump, despite the fact that Obama technically holds the highest position due to the current delegate numbers.

"First I had to add Huckabee when he shot up and then Fred Thompson and then Ron Paul. And now, with Obama in the lead, I've got to look at dropping Hillary down to King." Green glances at his salad. "The Clinton Library has always carried Politicards, I don't know what this will do to that relationship."

Among other things he'll also look at moving John McCain's card up from a Jack (still very respectible) to the Ace of Hearts position replacing Rudy Giuliani. (Conservatives are represented by Hearts and Diamonds, Liberals by Clubs and Spades). But we should all have Green's problem. Politicards, according to recent stats, have sold twice as many units this election year than any previous year. The result is a product that not only gets plenty of laughs but has become an actual election year indicator.

Says Green, "Yes, there is definitely stress, but I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing, except perhaps, finishing a good meal."
