Card Player Sponsors Vegas at the Playboy Mansion

Card Player magazine supports the Urban Health Institute's Third-Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament at the Playboy mansion

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) March 17, 2008 -- On Saturday, May 17, 2008, what happens in Vegas stays within the Playboy Mansion at least when Card Player magazine joins the Urban Health Institute to host the Third-Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament and Casino Night. This event will take place at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

This year's tournament and fundraiser proves to be even bigger and better than the last, with more than $50,000 in prizes to be awarded. The grand-prize winner will be awarded a coveted seat in the World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas, including airfare and hotel accommodations. Second- and third-place winners will receive a dream vacation for two to Bermuda (hotel and airfare included) and a set of Giovanna Wheels and Koko Kuture Bezel Systems.

The work we do is hard and sometimes discouraging when we are limited by lack of funding
Guests who don't play poker will have a chance to try their luck at roulette, craps, and blackjack to win fabulous prizes: spa certificates, signed sports memorabilia, weekend vacation packages to Las Vegas, and more. In addition to mingling with Hollywood celebrities and sports personalities, guests will also have the chance to bid on signed memorabilia from their favorite sports team, pro poker player, or rock band, or international vacation trips, in a silent auction. To top off the night, guests are also invited to go on a tour of the grounds led by Ambassador Playmates, explore Hugh Heffner's gardens and exotic zoo, and even take a dip in the infamous grotto. "Vegas at the Playboy Mansion" has never been so dynamic, and the best part is: It is for a worthy cause.

This event has been organized in an effort to bring visibility to the imperative work of the Urban Health Institute, while offering potential donors a once-in-a-lifetime experience. "The work we do is hard and sometimes discouraging when we are limited by lack of funding," said founder Dr. Kevin Brown. "Creating an opportunity for folks to experience the Playboy Mansion, play an exciting game, and mingle with stars is great incentive beyond supporting a worthy cause." Early bird registration has already started and will run till March 31, 2008.
