JAXQuickfit To Partner with V8 Driver Cameron McConville
In a move described as "mutually beneficial", JAXQuickfit Tyres has joined forces with V8 Supercar driver, Cameron McConville.
McConville, who also co-hosts Network TEN's Formula One coverage and reports for the RPM motorsport show, is driving this year with the Albury-based Brad Jones Racing outfit, Team WOW.
Sydney, NSW, Australia (PRWEB) March 15, 2008 -- In a move described as "mutually beneficial", JAXQuickfit Tyres has joined forces with V8 Supercar driver, Cameron McConville.
McConville, who also co-hosts Network TEN's Formula One coverage and reports for the RPM motorsport show, is driving this year with the Albury-based Brad Jones Racing outfit, Team WOW.
Glyn Parry, marketing manager for the 70-store chain that stretches from Cairns to Tasmania, says McConville will be involved in a series of promotional activities and stated that he is an excellent match with the JAXQuickfit Tyres brand.

The promotional partnership gives JAXQuickfit customers the opportunity to meet the Brad Jones Racing team and have a 'hot lap' in McConville's Team WOW Commodore on special team drive days later this year.
JAXQuickfit Tyres is a fully Australian-owned company with more than 50 years' experience in tyre retailing. McConville, 34, is a former national Formula Ford champion who previously drove for brothers Brad and Kim Jones when they were running a team competing in the Super Touring category with Audi.
"When we first started talking about me joining them in Supercars, they were running Fords but they were negotiating with Holden, so on that basis I was very interested. I've always been a Holden driver and I'd like to finish my career in a Holden.
"Now we have a new sponsor -- WOW -- and a new car, so it's exciting times for the team. It's also exciting to be part of this partnership with JAXQuickfit too -- I believe it will be an association that will be good for both parties and I'm looking forward to working with them to create more awareness and exposure for both our brands."
McConville had his first full season in V8 Supercars in 2000 after coming second at the Bathurst 1000 (with Craig Lowndes and the Holden Racing Team), the previous year. A passionate cyclist who is one of the fittest drivers in the category, he's based in Melbourne with his wife and two young children but also has an apartment in Albury on the NSW/Victorian border, so he can spend time at the race team workshop.
