Life's Challenges Illuminate Struggle of Those Coping with Loss

Having weathered widowhood twice, author pens book to help others

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) March 16, 2008 -- Author Marcy Kelly grew up as a frightened young woman who only felt secure while standing in another's shadow. God gave her a challenging road to walk outside of someone else's shadow by moving her away from her identical twin sister and allowing her first two husbands to die of cancer. God brought her through the grief and pain of loss into the sunlight of security in Himself as He walked with her into the rest of her life. Kelly's story, chronicled in From Sorrow to Dancing (paperback, 978-1-60477-611-9), illuminates the important thoughts, feelings, and choices of women who have experienced great loss and come through it.

Says Kelly of her hopes for the book, "I expect readers to come away with a better understanding of loss, grief, their faith, and the myriad of choices that can and perhaps should be made in the aftermath of loss. Readers will see the importance of choosing their new identities following loss, and (they) will see through other women's lives some of the feelings and thoughts they are likely to encounter. I want to help women understand they are neither alone nor foolish in their thoughts, feelings, and experiences."

The author's story, which plays out in the book, includes her overcoming being widowed twice and rebuilding her life twice. The book is noteworthy in that it is filled with practical suggestions, sound advice, and words of profound wisdom that only someone who has lived through widowhood could give.
