Procura Management, Inc., a provider of medical cost containment and managed care services to the workers’ compensation and automobile insurance industry, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Mitchell International, Inc., through its Mitchell Medical division, which provides medical bill review, workflow solutions and decision support tools to the majority of U.S. automotive insurance carriers. In addition, Mitchell and Procura will develop an integrated end to end solution leveraging Mitchell’s Medical leading Decision Point® bill review application, its proprietary Claimant Treatment Guide, and Procura’s leading Pre-Certification program that meets the New Jersey regulatory needs as required by Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act (AICRA). This unique and fully integrated solution will allow policyholders access to high quality, cost effective programs through Procura’s network and services and allow Mitchell to extend its capabilities further into the medical cost containment arena, particularly New Jersey. The solution results in access to care for policyholders, review of medical expenses through increased utilization of network providers, and increased visibility to claims matching the criteria for medical services.
