Delectable New Book Combines History, Biography, Compassion and Cooking
Rabbi Philip M. Posner presents the world's first character cookbook in Food for Thought, Character and Soul: Recipes and Blessings Included
Ajijic, Mexico (PRWEB) March 21, 2008 -- In Food for Thought, Character and Soul: Recipes and Blessings Included, author Philip M. Posner makes the discussion of character ethics palatable by honoring famous historical role models and connecting them to their favorite foods.
In Food for Thought, Character and Soul, Rabbi Posner attributes 35 scrumptious recipes to 25 inspiring role models, from Nelson Mandela to Victor Frankl to Theodore Roosevelt to Oprah. In addition to words of wisdom and cooking instructions, Posner serves up ecumenical blessings and prayers of grace, encapsulating the good taste and ethical values associated with each remarkable individual.
Nourishment for the mind and body, Food for Thought, Character and Soul teaches readers that one's behavior can make an ethical difference and, like good food, can sustain and enhance the quality of our lives, as well as society as a whole.
"Rabbi's book is genuine -- a gift of sacrifice & joy from its' heroic past to the present… and after life. AND it's non-fattening -- if you don't make the dishes!"--Mother Antonia
