Oprah and Eckhart Lead 2 Million in Mass Trance - New Book Don't Drink The Kool Aid Investigates

It's 8 PM (Central), March 17, 2008 ... More than 2 million were ready to be "awakened," according to the numbers given by the pastor to the masses herself, Oprah Winfrey on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." A new book called Don't Drink The Kool-Aid studies the "Oprah Movement" in-depth.

Seattle (PRWEB) March 21, 2008 -- It's 8 PM (Central), March 17, 2008 ... are you ready to drink some kool-aid? Apparently more than 2 million were ready to be "awakened," according to the numbers given by the pastor to the masses herself, Oprah Winfrey on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Oprah opens the service (class) with these words: "I thank you, Eckhart Tolle thanks you for joining us as we bring students and seekers together to discuss our latest book club selection, Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth." "I welcome you to the awakening, the shift in consciousness that's happening all over the planet."

I thank you, Eckhart Tolle thanks you for joining us as we bring students and seekers together to discuss our latest book club selection, Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth.
Oprah begins dialogue with Eckhart and says, "We did something last week that was unprecedented, you said has never been done before on television where you just sit there in silence, and I thought a lot of people responded to the sense of connection from that, so you wanna do that again?" Eckhart responds, "Yes, yes, yes."    Oprah says, "So you're gonna lead us in silence?"

In A New Earth, Tolle says, "Thinking isolates a situation or event and calls it good or bad, as if it had a separate existence. Through excessive reliance on thinking, reality becomes fragmented." "Being aware of your breathing takes attention away from thinking and creates space." "Being aware of your breath forces you into the present moment - the key to all inner transformation. You may also notice that you cannot think and be aware of your breathing. Conscious breathing stops your mind."

A new book called Don't Drink The Kool-Aid examines the new spiritual path Oprah is on and correlates some of the techniques that are being used in her online classes with brainwashing techniques. On her website, Oprah.com she has a daily lesson for users to take that plainly and says that the lessons involve mindtraining. According to the book, some well-known techniques in brainwashing are thought-stopping and meditation, techniques that cause the mind to go "flat." These are altered-state-of-consciousness techniques that initially induce calmness by giving the mind something simple to deal with and focusing awareness. The continued use brings on a feeling of elation and eventually hallucination. The result is the reduction of thought and eventually, if used long enough, the cessation of all thought and withdrawal from everyone and everything except that which the controllers direct. The takeover is then complete.

The author, Carrington Steele says, "So, this is just a normal, everyday suggestion for Oprah's book club, huh? Somewhere along the way, we went from an endorsement of cashmere sweaters and fuzzy pajamas to Oprah instructing us on our very purpose in life, based on the teachings of one, Eckhart Tolle. Who is this enlightened being, that was actually given the answers to the world's every need and problem, and has passed it on to us to absorb in 309 pages? He tells us that at 29, at the point of suicide, he had a profound transformation and through the years, became a spiritual teacher. Now, according to Oprah, this gives him the credentials to tell us to suspend thought processes and to acknowledge our painbody." In A New Earth, Tolle explains the necessity to transform, "A significant portion of the earth's population will soon recognize, if they haven't already done so, that humanity is now faced with a stark choice: Evolve or die." Ms. Steele says, "How's that for a harmless book club study?"

The book Don't Drink The Kool-Aid, just released in March 2008 studies the "Oprah Movement" in-depth. A compilation and critique of numerous quotes from newspapers, magazines, TV and internet, illustrate a web of powerful people and a powerful argument that what we see goes much deeper than the surface. This book is a thorough investigation to enlighten and disseminate the information that when pieced together form a clear pattern of influence.
